Frequently Asked Questions
Filament Selection
What is the advantage of PLA Pro than PLA?
PLA Pro offers higher toughness, better layer adhesion, and improved heat resistance compared to standard PLA. It’s ideal for functional prints that need extra durability while maintaining the easy printability of regular PLA.
What is the best temperature of printing PLA?
The recommended nozzle temperature for PLA is 190–220°C, and the bed temperature is typically 55–60°C. Adjust slightly depending on your printer, filament brand, and environment.
What can PLA be used for?
PLA is perfect for prototypes, decorative items, toys, and general-purpose 3D prints. It’s biodegradable and easy to print, making it a great choice for beginners and educational projects.
What is the difference between PLA and PETG?
PLA is easier to print, has a smoother finish, and is more eco-friendly. PETG, on the other hand, is stronger, more flexible, and more heat-resistant, making it suitable for mechanical parts and outdoor applications.
Printing Issues
Why is filament jamming or clogging the nozzle?
This usually happens due to dust, moisture, or incorrect temperature settings.
- Make sure the filament is dry and clean before printing.
- Check that the nozzle temperature matches your filament type (e.g., PLA around 200°C).
- Perform regular nozzle cleaning or use a cleaning filament to remove residue.
What causes stringing prints like hairy?
Stringing is often caused by insufficient retraction or high nozzle temperature.
- Enable retraction in your slicer and set the retraction distance properly.
- Lower your printing temperature slightly to reduce oozing.
- Clean the nozzle and store filament properly to avoid moisture absorption.
How do I get good bed adhesion?
For best adhesion:
- Make sure the build plate is level and clean (remove dust or oil).
- Adjust the first layer height — it should be slightly squished, not too high.
- Use a glue stick, PEI sheet, or painter’s tape depending on your bed surface.
- Print the first layer slowly (around 20–30 mm/s) for a strong base.
Are the filaments compatible with my machine?
Universal compatibility with all major 3D printers:
Bambu Lab / Prusa / Elegoo/Creality / Voron / Raise3D / Anycubic / Flashforge / AnkerMake … and more.
Filament Storage
How to dry up filament before printing?
To keep filament dry and maintain print quality, store it in a sealed, low-humidity environment.
- Use airtight storage boxes or vacuum-sealed bags with silica gel desiccants.
- Keep the filament away from sunlight, heat, and open air.
- If possible, store spools in a dry cabinet or humidity-controlled container.
What is the best temperature of printing PLA?
If your filament has absorbed moisture, you can dry it using one of the following methods:
- Use a dedicated filament dryer at the recommended temperature for your material.
- Alternatively, place it in an oven at 40–50°C (104–122°F) for several hours.
- Ensure the oven maintains a stable temperature to avoid deforming the spool.
- After drying, store immediately in a sealed box with desiccant to prevent reabsorption.
Order Issues
Can I modify my order after I’ve placed it?
No, unfortunately we cannot modify orders once they have been placed. You may cancel an order before it is processed and place a new order. We’re sorry for this inconvenience. If you need any assistance please contact support@tinyfab3d.com.au.

What should I do if my order hasn’t been delivered?
What should I do if I didn’t receive a delivered package?
Sometimes tracking updates can be inaccurate, and a package may show as delivered before it actually arrives. In most cases, it will be delivered within the next few days. In the meantime, we recommend checking with your neighbors or local courier for more details.
If your order still hasn’t arrived a few days after the last tracking update, please reach out to support@tinyfab3d.com.au within 14 days, including your order number and tracking details, so we can assist you further upon shipping policy.
Returns & Refunds
I need my refund redirected to a different account.
Unfortunately, we are only able to issue a refund to the original payment method for the order.
What should I do if my package is returned after it is shipped?
If you’re returning an order, please start the return process and provide the required details.
Note that you’re responsible for any return shipping fees, duties, and taxes.
If your package is returned by the shipping carrier, you can track when it’s coming back using your tracking number. A refund will be issued once the package reaches our warehouse and is confirmed undeliverable.
