TINYFAB is a small filament studio based in Canberra, which was founded one year ago in a tiny warm workshop powered by:
- one 3D printer that never slept
- one friend who kept asking for prints
- and one dog that kept sniffing PLA like premium kibble
What began as a simple favour that helping a friend’s club print something small and quickly turned into something bigger.
After testing 38 different filament brands, tweaking profiles late into the night, and obsessing over consistency, we realised we hadn’t just been printing anymore. Also, we started to notice a pattern.
Some filaments were genuinely great, reliable, consistent, a joy to print with, but priced far beyond what most everyday makers should have to pay. Others were affordable but turned printing into a constant battle of failed prints, clogged nozzles, and wasted time.
That’s when it clicked. Should every maker use awesome and affordable filaments. That made us a filament supplier.
